Breeding:
Females rule the roost, as it were. Though slightly smaller heightwise, they are stronger physically, though not by much. Breeding is simple, as Saber Lynxes are playful, friendly and loving. They act very much like canines at times, even to the pack mentality.
A Saber Lynx’s heat cycle lasts only about two days, so their population is extremely low in the wild. Very high metabolism, they are constantly moving to keep warm. Gestation lasts between 3 and 4 months. Any longer and the lynx is in danger of losing her litter. Litters range in size from around 1 cub to 4. Four cubs tax the lynx, however, due to their natural thin build. The later month, the female lynx is almost too large to move around and generally stays within a warm area or her pack mates will always lay next to her to keep her warm.
Society: Extremely solitary, except during the colder months, where they tend to band together in large packs, sleeping in a single large pile for warmth. Easily domesticated and trained as excellent hunting companions, much like cheetahs. They are not warriors and are more suited to running than fighting. Saber Lynxes love playing games and are very energetic. They love racing and have a very high affection level.
