Appearance: a Shift's true form is simply that of a silvery ooze. This is generally seen only when they're a) near death, or b) between forms (and only briefly. The older a Shift is, the quicker they can change forms).

DragonForm. dragon is the one people assume is her true form. She was raised with it and its automatic to her. Sable scales with a touch of midnight blue. Her long, silky mane is a dark cobalt blue. Claws are black and tail spade is a dark blue. She's about 6' tall at the shoulder, body is about 12' long and her tail is 19' long. Leather wingspan is 63'3'' and feathered wingspan is 58'5''.

Dark blonde hair always in a french braid that reaches past her rump. Her skin color is slightly tanned, but still relatively pale. She's a bit heavyset, but not badly. Usually, Dary wears blue jeans and a random tshirt, but occasionally, she'll be seen in polos. Dary stands about 5.5.
Dary used to have an alternate homidian form, which was black, lightly scaled and had white hair. She no longer uses this form as she cannot blend into Cecatl, her current location.

Other Forms. Occasionally, Dary will slip into other forms. She has been seen in a half dragon form (anthro), a domestic cat (mierlatha), and a horse (krystal drake).

Cheerful and relatively carefree most days, Dary always sees the bright side of things. Happenings rarely get her down for long and she moves past them quickly. She's not one to dwell on the bad and always has a kind word to say about and to those she meets. She's always willing to smile and offer hugs if needed.

Dary is highly understanding of others. She can see why most people are feeling down or unhappy and generally can see both sides of an argument (even if she's in it). This helps her mediate a lot of disgruntled feelings, in and out of the valley. Her biggest problem is she can never seem to fix her own problems. She likes being organized, though she can become sidetracked easily. Oftentimes, though, Dary will reorganize something over and over again, as she grows dissatisfied with how things are...or maybe its just boredom?

She is a quiet person and generally won't strike up a conversation unless the other person seems willing to talk. Dary doesn't always know how to talk to people and will stick with safe subjects like 'how are you' and 'what'd you do today?' She's not very outgoing, loud and generally doesn't care for sports, though Dary doesn't mind watching. She loves drawing and writing, and usually ends up remaining inside, despite loving outdoors.

Dary does NOT like thinking about herself. Unfortunately, that doesn't always translate into selflessness. She dislikes how she is, who she is and why she is where she is. Dary fears hunters, fears being alone and is petrified of just about anything having to do with sharp and lethal objects. After the Shifthunters destroyed her entire adopted family and she found out what she was, she fled and has kept running. She's learned how to survive and shift through trial and error, though rarely has picked dangerous creatures to shift into. As a result, most of her animals are defense or speed based, not fight ability. Dary doesn't believe she's much use to anyone due to this and knows she doesn't have the survival skills to effectively keep her alive, which is why she continued to run. She knows she's been lucky thus far. She's extremely wary of others; not quite distrusting, but doesn't really know how to trust and can be a bad judge of character. Dary was barely out of preteens when her parents were killed, so had to grow up in a hurry. As a result, she's rather cynical and impatient with others, often coming across as crass and sarcastic, but she has a good sense of humor and sticks to the few friends she has.

Other

Dary really likes cats and has a permanent friend in Shara, so often 'visits' acting as one of Shara's personal pets at the shop and as a convenient guardian.

History: Raised by a pair of Sha'ran dragons (the form she's in above), Dary never knew her parents, nor does she know all that much about the Shift itself, other than she's learned to hide what she is for fear of the hunters. With the Shifthunters destroying her family, shoving her into finding out what she really was, AND forcing her to run to unknown territory, Dary does not know what she's doing and it tends to show.

She does own a small journal written by both shift parents that she always keeps with her. Sort of written 'to' her in a sense, she at least gets the feeling of 'knowing' her real parents through this journal.
